We want ASU over Cincy. We want ASU to be ranked – the B12 needs as many ranked teams as possible. And BYU has to play them anyway, might as well be considered a good team. Cincy isn't going to do much in the B12 this year.
Kansas over Houston (BYU plays both, so it really doesn't matter). I don't like Kansas, but they need to look better when BYU plays them at home. Houston is the last game, so at that point BYU just needs to win. There won't be too many teams shuffling around.
Colorado over AZ. AZ helps BYU's SOS. But as we've seen, the pollsters don't care about SOS when they vote. Colorado brings eyeballs to the B12. So, CO winning benefits the conference.
TT over Baylor. See above.
ISU over UCF. See above above.
Kansas State over WVU. We need the teams we beat to stay ranked and keep winning.
uu over TCU. I don't like either team. But, TCU isn't on the menu this season. Better to play a uu team that is perceived as being pretty good, than one that is nationally perceived as being poop. If BYU beats uu, they have at least 4 losses (enough for a Rose Bowl appearance).
*should this be AN uu team?
Have I gone astray? Am I putting too much faith in BYU's continued winning ways?
