Anybody else think it’s kind of messed up that the losers of the first round playoff games don’t get a bowl game?
Imagine you’re somebody like Clemson. Your season is good enough that you make the ACC championship game but lose to 1-loss SMU.
So you make it to the playoffs, and your reward is getting waxed at an Alabama home game and your season is over before Christmas.
I guess that’s better than a meaningless Beef O’brady bowl game against the 6th place SEC team, but still … kind of weird.
