As some of you know with the latest update to IOS iMessage now supports RCS. I do think RCS messages with Android users still will be green but the same features that are available in iMessage (read receipts, typing indicator, better quality images and video sent, add new Andriod users to a new chat without starting a new group chat message) are supported across platforms.

IOS users need to turn on RCS messaging in iMessage. According to Google, here's how to do that.


To turn on RCS in iMessage, you can do the following:

Open Settings
Tap Apps
Tap Messages
Tap RCS Messaging under Text Messaging
Toggle the switch next to RCS Messagin

Some of my iphone user friends have done this, others have not. IMO its kind of lame that RCS isn't on by default. It would make things easier.
