I played in the playoffs did not have a viable QB as that viable QB was sitting on my bench. Sometimes you've got to think of who may pick up a player you don't need if you were to drop them. If there's somebody with enormous potential on the waiver wire, than it may be worth it to drop a great asset you don't need and can't trade away in order to play the waivers.
