You are over 2000x more likely to get struck by lightning, given that 400+ people are struck by lightning each year. Obviously wolves are not harmless and we should be careful around them. With that said, no deaths, and only 1 or 2 people even being bitten since 1900 shows that the way we've all thought of Wolves as being these ruthless killers that hunt humans is ridiculous. You're far far more likely to get killed by someone's pet dog.
