Like you said, they go extra over the top to prove how "not mormon" they are now, when in actuality no one cares.

And they think that since they were once mormon, that they have a get out of jail card to be the biggest bigots you'll ever meet, to the extent that fans of other fan bases are like, guys, chill out-- what is your problem?

The bad ones really are awful... but again, it's a specific type, not all by any means... One of my best friends is a huge Ute fan and has been since the late 80s early 90s when he was in elementary and they sucked (...trick statement-- they STILL suck, haha, just making sure you were paying attention...) ...but he's awesome, and unfortunately, not a ton that I've met like him over the years. Its definitely more of the former I described than the latter.
