I don’t particularly blame them for their assessment.

Our O is a work in progress. The D has been solid , but we certainly had a tough time once the Baylor passing attack got going. We mostly rely on blitzes to get pressure on the opposing QB. There are chinks in the armor, and our opponents are very good.

Saying we go 0-4 after starting 5-0 with 2 of those being home games may be a bit bold. OTOH, after last year’s penchant for bad losses and our having dropped 5 straight with many if the same players, I’m not utterly offended.

Respect isn’t given. Cougs will have to keep earning it, and that includes ripping right from the unwilling clutches of doubters and haters. I think we can and hope that’s what we’ll do.
