Maybe the ref who called him out of bounds had 2nd thoughts in the huddle

I could see the ref calling it out, but then getting to the huddle and saying, “hey I called it out in the moment, but I think he may have actually got in, did anyone else see if he got in?” Then another ref says, “yeah, looked like he got in to me.” Then they call it a touchdown.
