It’s the “stands” vs “confirmed”. Call on the field was apparently going to stand either way. But WHY did they
apparently change the call on the field. That was weird.

I get when it’s close calling a fumble a fumble, rather than blowing it dead. Because letting the play run is important; if you whistle it as down and stop the play you materially change the game if you were wrong. So even if you think it was probably down (say 70%/30%) let the play go and look at it in the booth after.

For this though, it makes no difference, so stick with what you actually think it was. Because it totally controlled the result and there’s no benefit to going against your 70/30.
