We should look closer at the German open-market system, which sounds superior
to the socialized UK/Can model.

It's private like the US, but insurance companies are non-profit and both insurance and medical providers must actually compete with each other. It's the closest to a sort of regulated even-playing-field monopoly-proof capitalist-ish system I've heard of, and their citizens pay like half what we do with everyone being covered.

My wife has family that live in Germany and they rave about it.
