Football is a team game.
He played well enough in 2 of those losses to win. It’s not his fault that the defense was depleted, and couldn’t stop Oliver Gordon or the Oklahoma offense. It’s also not his fault that the o-line was playing lousy, or that BYU’s rushing game was awful towards the end of the season.
