Going through it right now with my teenage daughter. Got her an older 4Runner. Those things are so well built and it's a limited so it has a ton of great car features, just non of the newer tech.
First issue: no bluetooth. This made it so she didn't want to drive her car and only ours cause listening to the radio sucks. She has to have her playlist. I could have swapped the stereo and almost did, but she's done a few things that aren't currently deserving of my continuing to spoil her. However, picked up a $15 dollar cigarette lighter bluetooth adapter that connects to her phone and broadcasts a radio signal. Problem solved for now.
Second issue: somehow, someway I've got to drill down to her that she can't be on her phone. Set the playlist, be done, and then start driving. I've had another recent heart to heart expressing that she's irreplaceable. Maybe that sunk in this time.
Third issue: no backup camera has already resulted in her backing into something. I can hope that was a lesson learned, but she is a teenage girl.
