I made the mistake of standing up and cheering when BYU made a good play, and I was hit hard in the back with an empty glass bottle. I turned around and asked who threw it. Crickets. Somebody must’ve seen it, but everyone basically shrugged it off. Maybe it was coincidence and somebody just lost control of their arm, but… I doubt it.

The verbal abuse I’ve gotten there hasn’t necessarily been worse than other places, but I’ve had family members who have had some pretty vile things said to them. Next-level religious slurs. They definitely top my list when it comes to trashy fan bases.
