To all who are being WAY too pessimistic about BYU football, please listen to this reality check:

BYU is not Georgia, Alabama, or Ohio State!

It feels so toxic here when you endlessly criticize BYU because we aren’t playing like one of the above-mentioned teams.

Guys, please, if you want to watch a perfect team, go watch Georgia, but for me, I AM A BYU FAN!!!

If your fandom and support only last as long as we win, you are, by definition, a bandwagon fan.

Please, raise your level of fandom! Root for your team through thick and thin, and if you can’t do that, consider taking a break from BYU football. You clearly can’t handle it. It is not easy to be a BYU fan.

Maybe our team just doesn’t have ANY very good QBs right now, and CougarBoard needs to accept that and not get mad that our QB1 and QB2 are not a Heisman candidates. If you really want that, you are going to have to go somewhere else, but for me, I’ll stay with BYU. I trust the guys getting paid millions, whose jobs depend on BYU winning, and who see/know more of BYU football than any of us on CB.

I love BYU football and have watched it my entire life, and I hope we win another national championship, but by complaining, saying “if we put in our backup it would fix everything!” or “if we fired X coach we would then be perfect!” You will only suck the joy of fandom out of the sport for yourself and everyone else on CB.

Enjoy fandom, BYU football, being a P4 team, being 2-0, and all the other awesome parts of being a BYU fan. If you can’t do that, please go be a bandwagon fan somewhere else. Both you and I will both be happier.
