All I'm saying is:

1- Pleading guilty without any deal is a bad idea. There's no reason to plead guilty initially--If you plead guilty or are found guilty, the sentence will 99% of the time be the same.
2- If you don't initially get a deal, then continue to exercise your rights (in stringing along the process) and hope eventually you will get a deal.
3- If the prosecutor refuses to ever give you a deal, then you might as well go through with the trial and force the state to prove you guilty. Maybe the officer doesn't show up, maybe he messes up his facts, etc. It's hard to win a speeding ticket at trial, but you don't really have anything to lose.
4- Even if you lose at trial, then you can appeal the result and get a trial de novo at the District Court level.
