Just because he is cryptic and acts like he's not sure, doesn't mean he doesn't know what's going on.

For example, in his post game, some media was asking him questions about what they would change, and he started to say "I don't know, I'll have to check the film." — which I suspect is his go to for "I'm not answering that question" — and it seems to trigger cougar fans.

BUT, he actually cut himself short and instead just said something like "you're not going to get me to give up our game plans." He was a little perturbed — which I like, but I really think that is the true motivation behind many of the canned responses you hear from him.

He's a smart man who knows football and loves BYU. He is doing a lot for the program and setting a great culture. Yes he makes mistakes, but believing he doesn't know football is incorrect.
