We don't owe them any favors about the independence deals. If BYU considers it
their best possible choice of available non-conference games, then fine make some agreement.
What Oregon St. and Wash St. have a drastic need of are late-season games. BYU should have no interest in late-season non-conference matchups unless they are some rare great opportunity. Oregon St. and Wash. St. certainly don't amount to that. BYU should focus on finding non-conference matchups for first few weeks of the season and then conference matchups for rest of the year.
Wash. St. and Oregon St. are both booked for the early weeks of the season for the 2025 schedule.
BYU has no need to help those two teams make some existence work in the Pac 2. Let them join the MWC.
