So maybe find another guy you know who doesn't have a date and
talk with him about the two of you asking a pair of friends out. If the girls know each other (and don't yet have dates) then there won't be a ton of pressure for them.
I know 4 is not a big group, but a small group may be more comfortable for them than a 1:1 thing.
