Not that weird. While I wouldn't "ban" my wife from talking
To an old boyfriend and she wouldn't ban me from talking to an old girlfriend. Having any kind of ongoing consistent communication with old romantic partners is a dangerous path.
Sure you run into them out in the community and chat that's fine. Or see them at a reunion. But having on going private communication isn't a good idea
