while students grew from 53 million to 55 million? I did a quick search and it looks like the "administrative staff" grew from 97k to 170k between 2000-2017, so roughly 70k new positions. There are 27k public and private schools in the US, so over the course of 17 years, 2.5 new positions were added to each school. Would people be as outraged if the title said "Over 2.5 new administrative staff jobs have been added to schools over the last 17 years"?
