…we wouldn’t have had the money w/o KY so you can’t take him out of it. KY comes on board and all of a sudden we’re flush with a level of cash we’ve never seen before and a willingness by athletic and school administrators to allow the team to spend it as they need.

I remember a few years ago reading that there were a number of big donors who wanted to earmark their donations to specific teams for specific things and the school wouldn’t allow them to. Their donation had to be a general donation and the school would decide how to distribute it among all the programs evenly. Now under KY, we see that things have dramatically changed.
