Riding down the trail scares me more than riding down the highway. I will ride up the trail because you can't do it fast

but I'll never ride the trail coming down. There are way too many oblivious walkers, runners, dogs, etc not to mention the bumpy pavement from tree roots buckling the pavement. I don't live in UT county anymore so I haven't ridden the highway in years but back when I used to do it the shoulder was quite wide and I felt a whole lot safer riding down canyon there than on the trail. I would always ride the trail up canyon though.
