when Carrol was clearly a very special talent (ave over 40 pts a game in HS — & was clearly the better athlete as well as the more dynamic scorer of the two; just because the national recruiters largely missed on Carrol doesn't mean BYU should've missed; he checked ALL the boxes for us & shoulda been thoroughly evaluated as a can't-miss guy, imo (& I say this as a guy who was pissed we passed on him WHEN we passed on him).
But I'm also glad you responded to me in kind, ice. Steve Cleveland was an extremely hard worker who adjusted well to the tough limitations imposed on him by BYU.
Rose eventually proved to be a better bball mind than Cleve, but I don't think he came close to out-working Steve.
