I would see a friend request from someone I already had in my friend list, flag it, and see it taken down within ten minutes. In the last month, I have had it happen at least ten times - mostly, with the more elderly of Facebook users. One new account was a duplicate of my Bishop, and I was getting barraged from it with scam messages. I noticed on the friend list of this new, fake account, there were some of the people in our ward that I would consider to be more vulnerable to this kind of thing, and I worried about them getting taken advantage of. I flagged it with Facebook literally every day for six weeks. And I know of several others who were doing the same thing. Facebook ignored it. Now it seems to be happening almost every other day.
