I’m not saying you can’t have it, but be realistic. You can have it, maybe on a smaller scale. And start young.

It takes work. And don’t forget costs. Factor it in and do some planning. You can give your kids the experience.

The other option is to make friends with people who do this and visit a lot. This is how we dealt with a horse crazy daughter. No way I was going to deal with horses. The cost and work. Ugh. And I know nothing about them.
