Not corrections, but I know pay is getting more competitive for Law enforcement

in Utah. I know of an agency that starts at almost $34.00 ($70k). Within 10 years, without promoting you could be between $46-48 ($96-100K). If you promote to Sgt., you could be making between $52-55.00 ($108-114k). A few years as a Sgt and then promote to Lt. and you could be making $60-63 ($125-131k). Couple that with lots of OT opportunities and a pension at 25 years, and its not a bad route. You wont get rich, but there are worse ways to make a living.
