Skurka is probably the best professional backpacker out there. He did close to 30,000 miles, was National Geographic’s adventurer of the year. Now he runs a backpacking training program. He knows his stuff.
On his website andrewskurka.com he has his tried and tested recipes. Probably his best is the Frito soup. It is very delicious, and is perfect backpacking food. I also like his pad Thai, and a couple other dishes.
