We went over spring break, so we didn't get too far. But the northern way was awesome. Beautiful country. I'd recommend spending a day in San Sebastian and do a bike tour there and eat at a Michelin restaurant there. But the trail after that meanders by the ocean, so the views are stunning and the little fishing villages had amazing food. We went as far as Bilbao and flew to Madrid thinking Madrid would be worth a couple days, but wish we would've skipped Madrid and stuck to the Camino.
