rarely see more the 8 wins a season because the better athletes will easily transfer out for more money, there is no long term building with numerous big playmakers like a Turbin or a Love. Also if a coach has a good year he will be gone as it will be too big of a risk to stay at a lower level Div 1 school and fight the transfer portal, lack of conference money and low level NIL pot. Might be an OK proving ground for guys desperate for a shot or want small town feel but I would hope Hill has had enough taste of next level football that he doesn't want to drop down to mid even if it were a head coaching opportunity. I think he will prove himself soon enough as he's already well respected.
