I was 18 when Max said that and in the weeks after that game I ran into one of my childhood friends. He had bought one of the "Max Hall Hates Me" shirts and whined about how offensive it was. I showed him what Scalley and others had said about BYU and this was his response, "Why are you being such a baby about that?" After I had a good laugh, I asked him the same question but he didn't get it. Yewts are not a very self-aware crowd.
