I'm fairly convinced that when it comes to ACTUAL football news, a lot of us are not paying that much attention. It's easier to throw up questions on CB than it is to dig into the 100+ page football review on BYU football that just came out for next season, or to spend a couple of hours listening to all of the latest podcasts or interviews with position coaches or journalists who cover the team for a living.

There is a lot of news out there - beyond, "Oh, we just got a nice recruit!"

BYU has been having a solid year on the recruiting front and somewhat in the transfer portal - with key additions along the OL, defensive backfield, QB room (Hillstead). There are really good reports about the development and greater depth along the offensive line.

There has been clear reporting that the QB room is working out and they are specifically working with John Beck. Kalani has said no starter is picked right now and he likes it that way and will see through fall camp how that competition develops. All four guys typically mentioned have been starting QBs in college football - also, your offense looks a lot different when your QB has some protection.

Anyway, there is plenty of good news on the BYU football front - I think we're mostly too ADD on a message board to go and nail it down or pay attention to it. Rant over.
