Chinese was one of my majors at BYU. The other was history.
I lived in BYU's Chinese language house, back when the language houses were standalone, family-type houses scattered around the perimeter of the campus. I ended up working for the federal government in a job where I used my Chinese.
I have my issues with BYU, but I greatly miss my student days there. To this day, my two best friends are guys who lived in the Chinese house.
