I'm probably one of the ones being referred to saying "pump the brakes".

Compare that to last year when everyone was getting on me for thinking we'd have a chance at the NCAA tourney prior to the season starting and everyone said I was being unrealistically optimistic and that we would be lucky to win more than 3 games in the conference.
