I read a BYU runner lady's blog - can't find it. But she said when she cut it
out, her stomach shrank - was making her bloated. She had more energy in the mornings for her runs and there were other benefits as well but those were the two that stuck out to me. *I am also trying to cut out artificial sweeteners, but it is my one vice right now.
