Tim Fanning says there won’t be a lot of differentiation between positions 1-4…
…on the offensive end for BYU this year, so we’ll see the 1 thru 4 guys likely grouped as either primary ballhandlers or wings with a solitary big man to round out the 5 players on the floor. The old traditional designations that this guy is a 3 and that guy is a 4 won’t be a factor in KY’s system. It will focus more on skill sets and look a lot like we saw with the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.

Both teams ran multiple PG’s or ballhandlers on the floor in each rotation and multiple wings and those guys could all switch and defend multiple positions on D and play on the perimeter on O and for both teams it was a player that looked like a traditional SF or 3 that was the primary facilitator in their offense (Tatum for Boston and Doncic for Dallas).
