lore/ Jedi norms/ Jedi culture. I think the Jedi just showing up and unintentionally causing a situation that angered Mae and Mae reacted by causing a disaster that the Jedi didn't/ couldn't stop or control would be in line with Jedi lore and could easily explain the various Jedi reactions. If your explanation is accurate, I can't see at least 2 of the 4 still being apparent Jedi leaders as a possibility within Jedi lore/ Jedi culture/ Jedi norms... after a mass slaughter of innocents causing no problems or issues.
