I liked ep 4 of The Acolyte. Spoilers hidden.
I will agree with everyone who says the dialogue is not great. But I'm trying to think of what Star Wars dialogue has been great ever. Andor wasn't too bad. I think the writers of The Acolyte have done a pretty good job of setting up several mysteries within the story and within the greater Star Wars lore. This is not great Star Wars at all. But it is pretty entertaining.

Spoiler Who is the Master? Is it Qimir? Seems the obvious choice, but is it too obvious? I think given the women in charge of the show, it's more likely to be the green Jedi, and that Qimir is the patsy we're supposed to suspect. Edit: another possibility is Indara, who was "killed" by Mae at the beginning. The show started with that. It could be her.

I thought that Mae's sudden turn was weak and needed more setup than what it was given. Why did she suddenly decide to abandon her mission and go after Osha?

Osha's character so far has proven to be fairly weak, which is a surprise. She doesn't really make any decisions. Everything is happening around her. The narrative really seems to be driven by Mae and Sol, which are the two most interesting characters.

Is the master Darth Tenebrous, the master of Darth Plagueis? That would fit within the timeline, but per Ep 1, Jedi shouldn't be aware of the Sith at all yet.

Also, the pronoun moment was so inconsequential that it was not even worth mentioning. It had to do with Osha talking to a squirrel and not knowing its gender. People really need to calm down about the politics of this show.
