I had no idea that the director of last night's episode was a lesbian until reading your post. In retrospect, I did know that the Night Sister episodes of the Clone Wars were directed by Filoni.

Last night's episode was not stupid because of the director's identity. It was just boring, over the top cringy, illogical, unwatchable garbage.

The Night Sister episodes were not awesome because they were directed by a man. They were just awesome - compelling story line, great pacing, fantastic extension of the SW universe..

I watched the first two episodes of the Acolyte and enjoyed them, even if the dialogue was weak, even for SW standards. Last night's episode was awful. Like straw-that-broke-the-camels-back awful. I didn't change my opinion because the director suddenly became a renowned lesbian. I didn't know that until you brought it into the conversation. The episode just sucked at a level far beyond anything SW has put out since being bought by Disney.
