My other three children have their challenges, as well, but it’s so much easier to teach them and help them learn and grow.

What helps me is to step back every once in a while and to measure their progress over time. Where were they at a year or two ago compared to now? If I look at things day to day it gets me frustrated.

I’m truly thankful for so many people in our community—doctors, therapists, family, friends, Church leaders, even complete strangers sometimes—who have helped us along the way.
