20 team Big 12 is inevitable to keep up with the BIG and SEC
This is also being discussed on the Member Forum at Heartland College Sports website

Supposing Clemson and FSU finally destroy the ACC just as USC and UCLA torpedoed the PAC. After the lawsuits settle Brett Yormark knows it is necessary to keep pace with the BIG and SEC so he goes shopping for four teams. Assuming he settles on four teams, twenty total in 4 5-team pods. This would probably require a 10-game conference schedule, which would not be so bad.

Which teams Yormark would target?

I personally think Miami is toxic because they are in-line with the same entitled thinking as Florida State and Clemson. Then again, so are the utes, but they eventually caved into the “truck stop conference” kicking and screaming.

We assume Clemson, Florida St. and Virginia are gone and probably North Carolina.

So, among the presumed or potential ACC leftovers, who would be in play for the 20-team Big 12? I think arguing that it’s not a good idea is pointless because, as the saying goes, “Adapt or die.”
