At best he has missed part of at least one of the losses in the recent 4 loss season. I’m not agreeing with Hans, but that is probably part of the explanation. Also, in the 10 win seasons, the 4th loss was a bowl loss, so they were better than 8-4 at the end of the conference schedule. 5 of the last 6 years Utah has had fewer than 4 conference losses. The exception was last year with Uno Doctoro keeping Cam sidelined. (Full disclosure Utes were fairly bad COVID year, but only 2 losses in the COVID shortened season). I guess in a few months we’ll know.
