my son's first year at BYU - which was sometimes tough socially - I'm not convinced it's perfect for every LDS student. He was very popular in high school and a high achiever, but he really had to work to find his crowd in Provo. Still glad he chose BYU. Great on-campus job, awesome academics, and a safe campus around the clock. But could he have had an awesome experience somewhere else. I believe he could have.
