Battery concerns is what keeps me from considering an EV right now.

There is plenty of infrastructure in my area that charging wouldn't be a problem and I'd keep one ICE car for road trips, but I can't afford a new EV (without financing and I won't do that) and don't want to spend thousands on a battery replacement in a couple years.

Used model 3 long ranges are in the mid $20k's.. + $4k fed rebate.. what you save in gas covers the payment.

This was a concern for EVs built 15 years ago but batteries now last 300k-500k

Yup.. and replacement costs have plummeted. You'll replace an ICE engine before an EV battery.
