They are too expensive in general to be a commuter only car and people do not
want their main vehicle for road trips ect to be dependent on plugging in every 4 hours on road trips. Also there is a lot of risk spending 50K on an EV (product people do not have faith or trust) if it does not work out you are out a ton of money.
