I heard that Pope leveraged the Washington job to get more money at BYU. It's not entirely impossible that Pope wants out... I mean, the guy worked his tail off recruiting-wise, literally traveled the entire globe, and what did it produce? I mean, if that's what it takes to recruit at BYU, squeezing blood from a turnip type of work... nobody here would want that job and the time it takes away from his family to recruit and get little to nothing in return. At Washington, I'll bet he would only have to spend half the time he was spending to recruit at BYU, and get better results. That's the reality of it.
