This was a major part of my legal practice when I lived in Orlando.
I would recommend writing directly to the resort and offering to deed/assign the property back. They never will immediately accept it. Sometimes they will want to go back-and-forth for a few months.

Whatever you do, don’t pay an exit company upfront. Most of these companies will just tell you to stop paying the maintenance fees after you paid them a few thousand bucks.

But I’m happy to chat if you have more questions. I’ve helped a few Cavers with these now.
