I'll admit, I've known a couple of pit bulls that were "nice, sweet dogs"
One belonged to some friends in our ward. I wouldn't let my kids when they were younger hang out there. It caused a bit of a rift, but oh well.
What's so scary is that many pits ARE nice sweet dogs with otherwise good owners. And then they snap for no real reason and maim/kill. Not worth the risk, even if relatively small.

As someone who owns and is a fan of dogs I would like to petition that pit owners be classified separately from the rest
