My 8th grade son had his iphone for exactly one day before coming home yesterday and reporting it got stolen while he
was playing basketball. He set it inside his hoodie next to the court and when he went back after playing, his hoodie and phone were gone. He searched the entire gym, but it was gone.
He tried tracking it on the website to find his phone, but nothing would show up at all.
My wife called the school and asked if they had video cameras in the gym that might possibly reveal the culprit, so the school agreed to try to review them for that time frame and we crossed our fingers and hoped we'd learn something. My wife spent close to two hours calling the provider, trying to search on the internet how to find it, calling the school, etc.
Today, we learned the video review was successful, and it clearly showed my super smart, intelligent son setting his hoodie and phone down in a completely different part of the gym than he swore he was "100% sure" he had set it. He also swore he had searched the entire gym.
His hoodie and phone were still sitting exactly where the video showed him setting them.
Gotta love the brains of 8th grade boys. Bless all of us parents
