His hundreds of thousands of practice debt. Or his overhead to pay to be able to do your ‘non cavities’.

Maybe you truly had absolutely pristine enamel. Maybe there is not even any questionable areas or darkening or staining. It’s true, maybe he was trying to hustle you for all your worth.

OR…….he genuinely diagnosed things the way he was taught, trained, and based off of his own experience.

See the thing about a dentist, or let’s face it virtually any profession, Is you go to someone who is going to give you what you want.
If I go in with a knee hurting, not wanting surgery and thinking I don’t need it, and one doc says straight to surgery and the other says no way, we just need rehab, who are you going to choose? Does it mean the one doc who wanted surgery is after your money? Maybe. Probably not. They are diagnosing and basing off of experience and training and philosophy.

Stop assuming everyone sucks and is out to get you if you disagree with them. Go get another opinion and go with who you trust.
