I find the list more encouraging b/c while some of these guys didn’t ever want BYU, we straight up either blew it or lost out on previous commitments in other instances. If we do a better job, or have a better program that’s more attractive to top athletes, we hang on to some of those and they change the program.
We’re not getting it done on the recruiting front and haven’t for quite a while. But the players exist and aren’t outside the scope of BYU’s ability to sign—or at least in a pre-NIL world, they weren’t.
